Organisation Development Services
Organisation Development (or 'OD' to its friends) is based on a principle, drawn from sociology, that organisations are different from, and more than, a group of individuals. They have their own identity, a distinctive nature and special needs that must be met, if they are to thrive.
For example, if an organisation is to be capable of being innovative then a comprehensive model, like the one below, can help managers to understand what actions need to be taken to help their organisation to become a good example of type.
If you would like to know more about our conceptual models, and diagnostic services, then contact us for our Working Paper.

This model is used by Richmond Consultants to diagnose innovation capability in client organisations. There are two foundation sets of capabilities, one is Generic Innovation Capability that applies to all organisations and the other is Contingent Innovation Capability that is specific to the type of organisation being assessed. The seven pillars are Enabling Components, as they provide a framework for an organisation-specific diagnosis. Shown in the roof of the building are the two forms of value is added to the organisation from its innovation deliverables. These are (1) enhancing dynamic organisational capabilities and thereby agility and (2 the results of benefits that flow from streams of innovation initiatives to internal and external customers, stakeholders and the environment. Also, examined in the model is the extent to which the organisation learns from the outside (absorptive capacity) and whether the organisation is achieving its level of innovation ambition, compared with peers and rivals.
